Welcome to AbroadSign. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AbroadSign platform, including all websites, applications, APIs, and services provided by AbroadSign (“AbroadSign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AbroadSign regarding your use of our electronic signature and document management platform for international trade operations.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the AbroadSign platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using AbroadSign on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and in that case, “you” and “your” will refer to that organization. These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including viewers, signatories, administrators, and API users across all access levels.
If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the AbroadSign platform. Your continued use of the platform following any modification to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and we will provide notice of material changes through the platform or via email to the address associated with your account.
2. Description of Services
AbroadSign provides an electronic signature and document management platform designed specifically for international trade and cross-border business transactions. The platform enables users to create, send, sign, track, and manage electronic documents in compliance with applicable laws and regulations in multiple jurisdictions worldwide. Our services include electronic signature processing with support for QES, AES, and SES signature types, document workflow automation, cryptographic document verification, audit trail generation, and API-based integrations with third-party ERP and logistics systems.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of electronic signatures complies with applicable laws and regulations in their specific jurisdiction and for their specific use case.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your username and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, whether authorized by you or not. You must immediately notify AbroadSign of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law at our sole discretion.
- Account Accuracy — You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete throughout your use of the platform at all times
- Age Requirements — You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts to use our services in your jurisdiction of residence
- Permitted Use — You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations
- Prohibited Activities — You may not use the platform to process documents related to illegal activities, to circumvent any applicable laws, or to engage in any activity that could harm, disable, or impair the platform or its users
- Signature Authority — You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights and authority to sign any documents you submit through the platform on behalf of yourself or your organization
4. Intellectual Property Rights
The AbroadSign platform, including all software, algorithms, user interfaces, designs, documentation, and other materials provided by AbroadSign, is protected by intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademark, and patent laws in multiple jurisdictions. You retain all ownership rights in the documents you process through the platform. AbroadSign does not claim any ownership rights over documents submitted by users. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same.
You grant AbroadSign a limited license to process your documents for the purpose of providing the services you request. This license includes the right to store, transmit, display, and convert your documents as necessary to deliver the platform’s core functionality. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant this license for any documents you submit through the platform.
5. Limitation of Liability
AbroadSign provides the platform “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of our services, we do not guarantee that electronic signatures processed through our platform will be recognized as valid in any particular jurisdiction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AbroadSign shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the services in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
6. Privacy & Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. AbroadSign collects, processes, and stores personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union, the UK GDPR, CCPA for California residents, and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions where we operate. Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, describes in detail how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest using AES-256 and TLS 1.3, access controls, regular security assessments, and comprehensive employee training on data protection practices.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate these Terms and your account at any time, with or without cause, upon written notice to the other party. Upon termination, your right to access and use the platform will immediately cease. We may also suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or if we are required to do so by applicable law or regulatory requirement.
Upon termination, we will provide you with an opportunity to export your documents within a specified period, after which we may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policy.
